ChinaBase hosted first immersion program

ChinaBase hosted its first two-week Immersion Program from July 30th to August 10th in Beijing and Hangzhou. Four companies from U.S. and Germany stood out from over 100 applicants and won the opportunity to take part in the program.

During the program, ChinaBase invited mentors from Roland Berger, Orrick, Tsinghua University, and other national and international organizations to conduct training sessions on key issues companies would face in entering Chinese market.

The immersion program organize roadshows and help participants build direct communications with  relevant corporates and potential investors.  Besides, ChinaBase organize visits to three affiliated industrial parks in Beijing and Hangzhou to help participants learn about incentive programs from local government.

The first immersion program helped participants have a clearer roadmap of entering and establishing a presence in the Chinese market. Participating companies and local corporations have taken first step toward strategic cooperation through pilot projects. One company is in the process of JV setup with Chinese investors. The ChinaBase team will take the lead on follow-up communications, and continue to provide professional and efficient services to participant companies and local corporations.

CHINABASE PLAYS AN ACTIVE ROLE IN INTERNATIONAL INNOVATION ECOSYSTEM

Based on previous cooperation with  Business France, BPI  France, and  ITTN, Lisa Hao, the general manager  of  ChinaBase, was invited  to be  the  jury member of Impact China,  French  Tech  Tour  and  InnoStars,  three  important  international  start-up  competitions  focus  on  introducing  French  and  US  start-ups  into  China.  During   the competitions,ChinaBase provided clear roadmap for candidates  to enter and expand  in Chinese market, and  made  practical suggestions  on how  to leverage the industrial resources to seize the first mover advantage. ChinaBase built direct contact with selected participants. Several participants were added to he ChinaBase pipeline after careful review and evaluation. Beside mentoring start-up competitions, the Second Qiantang River Forum was successfully held during Nov. 2nd-4th with more than 3,500  attendees this year.  ChinaBase  organized  two roadshows during  the f orum, and  helped ChinaBase  applicants leverage  this networking  platform of 5,000+ corporates and financial nstitutions to outreach for ideal Chinese partners.

WHAT TO EXPECT 


INTERNATIONAL PRIVATE EQUITY MARKET (IPEM)

ChinaBase will participate in IPEM from Jan.  22nd to 24th, 2019 in Cannes,  France. IPEM  is the world’s  largest private capital marketplace gathering the industry’s complete value chain. ChinaBase will be the first Chinese company to host a suite in IPEM and to organize a team of top Chinese entrepreneurs to attend IPEM. The team would include the chairman of Zhejiang SilkRoad Fund and the executive president of Zhejiang Investment M&A Association.


MEET WITH IMPACT CHINA WINNERS

 After intense competition, 8 candidates were selected to attend the Impact China 2019 Bootcamp. As a jury member of the competition, Lisa Hao is invited meet the 8 winners in Paris and discuss  about future cooperation. Besides, ChinaBase  would meet  other potential  ChinaBase  candidates and  continue to promote  the international innovation exchange.
